| I dropped by the Pitch and Putt Club this afternoon. Colm and Ronnie and co were working hard at it. Getting ready for the Ruby Cup Celebrations I assume. I had my phone and live streamed this bit of footage. Place looks really well lads. Well done. I also paid my €30 and became [...] … Last week Amy Cooney called to my house. Mary, her Mom, runs the Village Montessori. I’m handed an envelope and asked can it be put up on the website. P: What is it Amy…? A: Aah the children in the Montessori took part in a sponsored Toddle in aid of Barnardos…. [...] … Over the weekend, as reported by The Fingal Independent, Ballyboughal.net was, put simply, hacked. When that happened we put the weblog into safe mode. Or what we called ‘maintenance mode’. Why did it happen….? well, put simply, things cost money and take time. This website is no different. To all the well wishers, [...] Just For Now… The Fingal Folk Club is on a wee summer break. Now on Summer break. Next Performance date is Fri 17th September 2010 In the meantime….. go learn a song, play that one you used to know better, learn that poem or start dancing. If the first season is anything to go by, [...] There was one night at the Fingal Folk Club were the Swords Mummers did a performance on stage. I didn’t know what a mummer was being very honest, but this I liked. In a funny sort of way, it was a little possibly, embarrassing that I did not know of this so very old tradition. [...] … I was talking recently about signing up for the pitch and putt club. It’s €30. For the year. Anyhow…. Yvonne tells me there’s a cup on. So I go to sign up. Booked out. 40 places. Gone. I hear Tommy Cooper. Just like that. I went to the pitch and putt club website [...] How did I find out…. . and then of course I saw this which informed that the local tavern was busy… . Great to see the town in good spirits and especially when its mid week on a wednesday. On this occasion it’s brilliant that the ladies and the mens team both won! [...] Ah yes welcome to the beautiful countryside, farming rural town of Ballyboughal where the sheep sleep all day and the leaves of the trees rustle in the wind…. … Oh hold on a second…..?
