Isn’t it just lovely when you get a shiny happy local business happy news story ? And you will find none nicer than local artist Amy Cooney who Friday last delivered the first floor art collection for The Wilton Hotel, Bray, Co. Wicklow. 85 bedrooms in total are getting a make over, with Amy’s art work in each room.
Fair play an’ all that. Amy says:

I was asked by a fellow interior designer who is emigrating to Canada, if I could do a piece of art for her, to remind her of Ireland, something personal & distinctively Irish. We are both positive thinkers & business women & over the years working together, we firmly believed that the smallest idea can become huge. Hence the title for my art work.

My piece was spotted by a hotelier client of hers who also owns the Wilton Hotel in Bray. She loved my work and ordered 85 sets for the revamp of the bedrooms in the Wilton Hotel. It’s very exciting & will keep me quite busy over the entire summer.

Three water colour paintings in a mono chrome theme tell a story of how small things can become quite large. It based on the Irish Oak and more specifically the is an oak tree just outside my window at home.

Boughal nature-inspired art. In a hotel in Bray. Who’d a thunk it. Of the painting above Amy also notes:

  • Little acorns grow (the spark that starts an idea)
  • Cant see the wood for the trees (in the tick of it when I’m stressed out lol.)
  • The mighty oak tree (the finished piece)
