Ballyboughal Hedgerow Society – Grace Dieu Walk Sunday 28th November

Yesterday I went walking with The Hedgerow Society through the lands of Grace Dieu, Ballyboughal.

The lands at Grace Dieu, Ballyboughal were once home to a Nunnery dating back to 1190 and its small village settlement. Although some stone work is visible above ground, a lot of it resides now below.

The hedgerow Walk took place on sunday just passed. Once again theree were a few new faces which was really great to see. I think it’s fair to say there’ll be a fair amount of jam made in the next few weeks.
