For the moment…… This we know [...] … From what I can gather, almost 40 people took to the road for The Ballyboughal Pitch and Putt Club Annual Day Out. Meeting at 3pm we took to the Bog O the Ring and The Ring Commons 18 hole Pitch and Putt course. Joan was the outright winner following five weeks of matches between 56 players who took [...] … Pictured above, Stuart Kelleher presenting Tony [Bats] Masterson with the winning Ruby open prize. I highly recommend you take a look at the ruby cup trophies .. By all accounts Sunday was a great day. They definitely had the weather. That aside, it was a great day to honour and remember those past and present who made [...] … Most of you know Kevin Rowe…..? You don’t ? He plays with the 1st team for Ballyboughal GFC. More than that, he also helps out with the Under 10′s GAA team. He recently did a half marathon and has just completed a [quote] mental forest treck last saturday…. where he finished 4th out of 120 [...] I dropped by the Pitch and Putt Club this afternoon. Colm and Ronnie and co were working hard at it. Getting ready for the Ruby Cup Celebrations I assume. I had my phone and live streamed this bit of footage. Place looks really well lads. Well done. I also paid my €30 and became a member [...] … I was talking recently about signing up for the pitch and putt club. It’s €30. For the year. Anyhow…. Yvonne tells me there’s a cup on. So I go to sign up. Booked out. 40 places. Gone. I hear Tommy Cooper. Just like that. I went to the pitch and putt club website [go take a [...] How did I find out…. . and then of course I saw this which informed that the local tavern was busy… . Great to see the town in good spirits and especially when its mid week on a wednesday. On this occasion it’s brilliant that the ladies and the mens team both won! Whoever is running the teams should [...] After what can only be described as 150% commitment to non stop training, blood, sweat, tears, broken finger nails and many an episode of Corrie missed they Won! The Mighty Kick Ballyboughal ladies football team enjoyed their first win of the current season with a great 2-7 to 2-2 win over Knocking them home for [...] … passing by last week on a glorious day I noticed a few more cars than usual parked outside the pub [the only pub in the village... ] The gates of the pitch and putt club were open and I popped in and took a walk of the course.
