The biggest festival in jump racing kicks off tomorrow so I’ve decided to have an ould look at some of the main races on day one. Looking for a tip, want to be able to talk the talk…. take a read. Great fun as it is and I believe it costs €20 [?] for an entire years membership. That is bargain value in any town. Anyhow…. The first club competition for 2010 is the O’Connor Cup which will be held [...] … If you are passing by the only pub in the village you may notice a greater audience in attendance. The reason for that is the racing session on the year has just kicked off. Fancy a flutter, an aperitif and a little nibble… pop your head in and say hello. The lads in there can take your [...] In a tough battled Leinster semi final versus St. Mochtas of Louth, Ballyboughal finally ended the greatest run ever in the history of the club and the village. … venue: Balgriffin, Dublin … Match no. 1 versus St Andrews Of Carlow was played today. A nervy one from a supporters point of view… is an understatement… but, the lads were always ahead in [...] boots… so you thought the lads had hung up their boots…. Yes the lads of ‘boughal rangers have won the league and the juior cup… but there is more to this amazing story… This Monday at 2pm approximately the lads play Carlow [I believe..] in Balgriffin [beside the old graveyard]. … yes… today, officially, ballyboughal rangers gfc made history and won the league ….as well as the cup. They got a walk over That said last night they all headed off out on a bus to Ardcath to kick it off. I met the three lads outside the pub just before they headed off. Well done to [...] … If you thought you were gonna get a football match and a repeat of two weeks ago celebration wise… you *now* are probably gonna be a slight bit upset… The team Ballyboughal were due to play… but they have been given a walk over as the proposed opponents are unable to field a team. So Ballyboughal Rangers [...] myself, cian and the cup… Last night Cian Delaney so very kindly dropped by my house with ‘the’ cup. Yes the cup that this town has waited so long to see….
