If you are passing by the only pub in the village you may notice a greater audience in attendance.
The reason for that is the racing session on the year has just kicked off.
Fancy a flutter, an aperitif and a little nibble… pop your head in and say hello.
The lads in there can take your bets and I believe there are a few novelty competitions organised for those who know very little about horses.
Go on! Pop your head in with your €2 and ask some random punter which horse he’d place it on….
