Fingal Folk Club

...

Ronnie Delaney is at it again  He owns the pitch and putt club, the carol singers, he plays in morning dew, he fixes jeeps and now he’s set up the Fingal Folk Club.

So what’s it all about…. as far as I can gather it’s very much the family gig. A chance for you to get the not so old and young members of the family and yourself [mom and dad] to go somewhere, together, on a Friday night and be entertained. It’s not a trad session btw. There is a big difference. This is a night where you get to sit back as part of an audience and let others do the honours of entertaining.

There’ll be no swinging pints ’round the room at this musical extravaganza I’ll thank you to know…

Morning Dew are kicking off proceeding and it runs from 8pm to 10pm. Their opening night is tonight, [Friday 12th March 2010] where I’m sure he’ll tell you more about it. On a serious note…. it promises to be great craic. Come down to the old school [the one opposite O'Connors pub] and say hello.

Great to see this kind of thing kicking off. Bulaidh bós Ronnie and co. Sincerely well done! Bring the kids, get the wife out of the wellie boots… you can even bring your mother in law…. and it’s free!
