i just want *my* photos - please
Most will know me as Peter who loves gardens.
To the point: I always promised I would keep ‘the more personal’ off line. But in this case I am at the end of my tether.
I got married almost 3 years ago now.
I paid the wedding photographer. A kieran Corrigan. He did work with a local/ regional newspaper [*update] *but was ‘let go’*. On that basis one would assume the reputation was 110%. He was paid in advance. I know.
But money is not the issue here. It is the photographs.
Almost 3 years later I and we have not seen one photograph.
We have tried calling. Regularly. Texting was also done. Just to have some record. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what I can do.
It’s not fair. It’s not right. It is our memories. No amount of money can replace that.
Please help.
Peter, when were you last in contact with him? When did you last ask, in writing, for the photos? I’d suggest a registered letter to his business address with a copy of the receipt for the payment you gave him as a first port of call if you haven’t already…

That is just disgraceful. I would put a post about this on Weddings Online where I am sure he must get most of his bread and butter. This site will crucify him and I am sure will force him into action, and rightly so. Is there such a thing as an Ombudsman for photographers??

do you think is he just massively unorganised and a lazy xxxx. Do you know anyone else who used him for their wedding and got their pictures back. I remember you telling me about this before.
Really hope this works out for you Peter – it’s so nice to be able to look back on wedding photos. I’d definitely stick a post up on weddingsonline.ie, if only to warn people, though they are very helpful there too.
You may want to lawyer up though depending on what’s being you say about the guy online.

Man! that’s a tough one. I’ve done a bit of research about your man Corrigan. Fecker doesn’t come up ANYWHERE. I’m arriving to the quick conclusion that the guy wasn’t a photographer at all! or maybe you spoke to the wrong kieran Corrigan????
Silly question: have you gone to the Fingal Independent to find out if he’s still alive?

How did you find out about this guy/book him in the first place??
Have you been given any reason for not getting the images before he went AWOL??
Is he still working for the newspaper??
Have you been given any paperwork relating to a home address i.e. receipt etc??

Enter Kieran Corrigan in there for a Director’s name and several appear; one in particular with several businesses registered under him. Perhaps one of these is your man… Good luck

thats a joke everyone gets there’s for when they come of honeymoon and can check there pictures on line when your on honeymoon.I’m so glad i don’t have him doing mine its not to much to honor your contract no matter whats going on in your life.A wedding is the most importent thing in your life it goes by so fast that you need those frozen memories so you always have them.I’d take him to court if i was you hun
