The dualtholn’s are made up of usually 5k road run, 20k cycle and finish with 5k road run . This race was 3.2k Run – 17k Cycle – 3.2k Run. Ciano has been working really hard on the training ground and is now quallified for the European comp heat in Limerick in April.
One thing is for sure Cian wont be training on our potholed roads.
According to Nadia Williams report
Delaney came into his own in the 17km cycle, overtaking Wood to make first place his own. He stretched his lead to almost a minute by the time he stormed into transition to tackle the run course once more. It would be difficult to catch him now, but Wood, Crinion and Ferguson knew the race is not over until you’ve crossed the finish line. All three men put in excellent run times, but Delaney kept and stretched his lead to take first place overall. Second place went to Phill Wood (first in his age group), Brian Crinion was third, with Steve Ferguson fourth and Neil Ferguson fifth.
