This SaturdayFebruary 25th are holding the Bartle Maxwell shield competition at the P&P club the proceeds will be going to Temple St. ICU
Bartle Maxwell was a founding member of the P&P club back in 1970. Together with friends and neighbours from around Ballyboughal the manage to pull together a committee of people to start up and develop this great facility we have today. The Maxwell family are still very prominent in the village today Bartle’s wife still lives in the family home with her son and family, you may know Phil the NS principal is a daughter and several of the sons live within a couple of mile of the village.
