Practical Joke or Guerrilla Marketing

Red Velvet pinkmobile

For the quiet village that Ballyboughal is, it gets a lot of daily traffic.  People from north of Swords take the “back roads” that wind through Ballyboughal to get to the back of the airport without getting stuck in traffic trying to get onto to the M1 at the Donabate junction.

This caught my eye while strolling up in the village and I guess someone did it as a practical joke one evening but its great bit of guerrilla marketing as the car that’s used to advertise Red Velvet seems to have blended into the villagescape.

I’d say everyone has noticed it more recently and fact is they will remember it more.
