kieran corrigan – where are my wedding photographs?

i just want *my* photos - please

Most will know me as Peter who loves gardens.

To the point: I always promised I would keep ‘the more personal’ off line. But in this case I am at the end of my tether.

I got married almost 3 years ago now.

I paid the wedding photographer. A kieran Corrigan. He did work with a local/ regional newspaper [*update] *but was ‘let go’*. On that basis one would assume the reputation was 110%. He was paid in advance. I know.

But money is not the issue here. It is the photographs.

Almost 3 years later I and we have not seen one photograph.

We have tried calling. Regularly. Texting was also done. Just to have some record. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what I can do.

It’s not fair. It’s not right. It is our memories. No amount of money can replace that.

Please help.

My years are from a recent picture then onto 1976, 1974 and 1956… of course i threw in Rick from 1970 and Darragh all presidential looking from 1956 and one from Maries… suits you sir/ lady!

Ballyboughal National School to set up its own Web site

We got a notice home today from Ballyboughal NS that they intend to set up a school Web site. The notice also informed parents of the schools intention to publish photographs of activities taking place in the school, and they also asked for parents permission to have their kids photograph on the Web site. I very much doubt they intend to publish individual photos of each child, I think its more “If your child is in the activity photograph”.

I know the sounds of it may strike fear into the hearts of most parents due to the horror stories you may hear. But, I think if the school can do it and do it in a sensible way. There is no real easy solution to protecting photos online unless they are contained within a private group, but even still someone from within that group could download and share it else where.

What the school could do is limit the amount of information within each photo and restrict the file size so if an image is resized it looses quality. They could also use scripts to prevent it from being saved locally,but that does not prevent the image from being captured using a screen grab for example.

Putting photos online has the same kind of worry to your child playing out on the street, will they be safe?
