| Tonight Friday: of course you have Fingal Folk Club kicking off at 8pm in the school hall opposite the pub until just after 10pm never been ? It is recommended you check it out!! Event: Karaoke … It appears that on Saturday the 24th of July, that’s this Saturday, the karaoke will return to O’Connors pub. Call it what you may, I know it’s easier for any pub not to bother their barney doing anything [...] Details: Date: Saturday 10th July … Other: You have seen the posters in the pub….. Personally, I love it when people take it upon themselves to organise nights like this. On that note, fair play John Kenny. That said, it is John [...] … You may remember Caroline O’Hara… She did a coffee morning for Réalt in March to raise money for her trip to Africa Anyhow…. she emailed me this eveing and it seems gig #2 is on the way When Who What When…? This Friday 7th May Thats a bargain… [...] … passing by last week on a glorious day I noticed a few more cars than usual parked outside the pub [the only pub in the village... ] The gates of the pitch and putt club were open and I popped in and took a walk of the course. In there I met President of [...] paddys day …? The pitch and putt club is just about to re open again for the season. Great fun as it is and I believe it costs €20 [?] for an entire years membership. That is bargain value in any town. Anyhow…. The first club competition for 2010 is the O’Connor Cup which will be held on [...] the village inn If you haven’t been to Ballyboughal in a while… or you haven’t been to O’Connors pub in a while then you may not be so aware that Kevin and Mark [pictured] have introduced Saturday night music. are you going…? You may be thinking small town pub brutal music ? [I say, You may be....] [...] …well more 'boughal there are certain things I write about on my own blog there are pretty easy to do, relevant to Ballyboughal or just somethings that should be here. Of couse you don’t need to live in ‘boughal to do them…. There’s quite a bit of info there – and whilst Aido is busy abroad – [...] Moaning all in Ballyboughal, it official from the horses mouth, written on Moses’ tablet, cast in stone, she opens on next Monday 20th Oct. …this time its really happening some thought it would never happen. some thought it was never possible. In a town where the drop, the craic, the entire knowledge of what encapsulated community spirit [...] i hear the stories of what is there to do. I hear people saying say there’s nothing here for you – so i’m going to try a list of what one can do in the *area*. How long the list gets is up to you – ish.
