what *is* there in ballyboughal, really?

i hear the stories of what is there to do. I hear people saying say there’s nothing here for you – so i’m going to try a list of what one can do in the *area*. How long the list gets is up to you – ish. But leave a comment and i’ll edit the post – we might even get this a page of its own… So what is there in Ballyboughal – to do. And please, until the doors open, don’t mention the pub war.

It’s up to you to us each as individuals I suppose to get to know people, to get involved, do your bit… I say go on, go on, go on…. [all the gigs below…]

Ballyboughal Pitch and Putt Club – i just joined and it cost €30 per year. Yes i do not play golf – but for tríocha yo yo’s who’s complaining

ballyboughal hedgegrow society – i’ve covered this here. As far as I know it’s free – knock yourself out.

Traditional Irish Music Session – covered that here. Although not were it used to be…?! Thursday nights 8/9pm onwards in Kettles Country House and Hotel. For the price of a pint of whatever your fancy this is so worthwhile. Bring your spoons, your drums, your harp or your Granny… literally the more the merrier!

The Gaelic Sports Club – ballyboughal gaelic football club is an integral part of the community and just because you dont play – doesn’t mean you can’t get involved…?!! Go on!
